<N sync Bus>
As I close the portal, ‘ “C” beacon off.’
‘Roger that.’ ‘You portaled us inside a buss? Boy you’ve
gotten better.’ Barry says. ‘I’ve been on it before. So I knew
where to go.’ ‘WHAT THE F…!’ I turn around and see that Tim
has his pistol out and has it pointed at us. ‘Tim…what are you
doing here?’ ‘He wanted to know exactly what you were doing.
We tried to have him wait in the hotel, but he just had to come
with us.’ Sid answers for Tim. ‘Tim would you put that thing
away please? You should know that I wouldn’t hurt you.’ ‘Yeah…but…’
he say as he puts away his weapon. ‘Thank you. Do you still
trust me?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘Ok, Dan take the beacon to your room and
come back. (Dan nods and leaves) Tim put Lonnie in charge tonight
and come back here.’ ‘Why?’ ‘I’ll show you what’s going on.
And I think there’s an extra mutant in here. I have a feeling
that I just scared you enuff to awaken your powers, I can sense
a new power and it has to be you.’ ‘Well if you insist.’ ‘Only
for your protection. I’d like to make sure at the complex.’
‘Oh…ok I’ll go with you.’ when he leaves I have my drivers go
and check out the buss’. Tim and Dan show up as the drivers
call out that they’re ready. They start up the buss’ and I have
the two get a seat. I go and find a good place to portal through.
I find the best place, get a hold Corbin and we open our portals,
the buss’ drive through, and I launch myself into my portal.
I close it when I’m through.
<Maintenance area>
I fly into the Complex, and Corbin closes
his portal. ‘Good job Corbin, that was perfect.’ ‘Thanks.’ he
says as he turns a little red. I get a hold of Pat and have
him meet us at the Danger room. I call George and find out that
they’re about ½ to an hour out from the hotel. ‘Tim, you going
to trust me again? I’d like to show you around, but that’ll
have to wait, only got a half hour or so.’ ‘Yeah, I guess you
can still be trusted.’ he says with a slight smile. I put my
hand on his shoulder and teleport us to D.R.#1.
<D.R.#1>
We ‘pop’ outside, I get the door open and
get it up and running. I sit Tim down, and give him the very
short version of what the Complex is and why it’s there. Pat
shows up and we get ready to go. I have “C” make the announcements
and I check out Tim’s powers. He has density control, I give
him a demo of his powers, and help him to try it out. He’s a
little scared, but he does a good job. I thank Pat for helping
out. Then I ‘pop’ us back to the maintenance area.
<Maintenance area>
We teleport in and we grab something to drink,
and I wait for George to call. I get about ½ way thru my coffee
and my phone starts to ring. It’s George, and they’re at the
hotel. I round up the drivers and Corbin. When their ready I
have “C” activate the BSB beacon. I open a portal and we walk
through and into a buss.
<BSB buss>
I look around and the doppelgangers are there
and ready to go. ‘Keith, would you that the beacon to your room?’
he nods and heads out. The drivers start their checks as I look
for a good place to portal. I find the easiest place and go
back to the buss’. when I get back, Keith shows up and the drivers
start the buss’ up. I wave for them to follow me. I get a hold
of Corbin, and open my portal. Corbin opens his and the buss’
drive through.
<Maintenance area>
I fly in and land by Randy, he says that
it’s going a little better than he’d thought. I tell him I’ll
be in my room and to call when he’s done with and ready to get
rid of the N sync buss’. I go find Tim and invite him to come
to my room for a rest before I take the buss’ back. I see Corbin
and offer him the same, and the three of us head out.
<Complex>
As we leave the maintenance area, Tim stops
and I bump into him and almost knocking his over. I grab him
at the last second. ‘What’s wrong Tim?’ ‘All this?’ ‘Yeah…it’s
a shock at first, I’m just starting to get used to it myself.’
Corbin says. I point out a few of the things along the way to
my room.
<My room>
We get something to drink, then sit down
in the living room and relax. I give Tim the long speech about
A&A and suggest that he come back and get trained. ‘Do I
really need to?’ Tim asks. ‘I would, so you don’t hurt yourself
or anyone else.’ I reply. ‘I think it’s a good idea also.’ Corbin
adds. ‘Would you do it?’ Tim asks as he looks straight at me.
‘I could, but I’m a bit of a hard ass when it comes to being
a trainer, you’d probably end up hating me. Just ask Corbin
what I can be like. But Brent could do a better job, since he’s
our head of security, you’d have other stuff to talk about also.
You could come here when the guys are taking a break, I know
that they’ll have a few weeks off pretty soon.’ ‘Yeah, I could
do that.’ ‘I’ll set it up when your ready.’ he looks at Corbin
with a questioning look. ‘Yeah, he can be a real pain, and he
was only helping out that day.’ Corbin says with a smile. We
talk for a while and BSB and N sync stop by for a few min.s
and ask me to thank the people that are doing the work on the
buss’ and drivers. And they thank Corbin and me for helping
out as well. All of a sudden Lance notices Tim and asks what’s
going on. I explain what happened when I went to get their buss’
and Tim starts to look embarrassed. We go in to the Den and
continue to talk for a while. The couples sit next to each other
and start to snuggle as Howie comes over and sits on my lap.
He throws his arms around me and says ‘I’m gonna miss you, you
know that? Don’t you?’ ‘I hope so, cuz I’ll be missing you,
but you’ll probably be so busy that you’ll forget about me.’
‘I’d never do that to you, you should know that by now.’ ‘Just
being paranoid, I’m still afraid that you’ll fall for someone
else and leave me.’ I say in a quiet voice. He gives me a deep
passionate kiss, ‘I love you Bob, never forget that Dear.’ ‘Ditto
D, ditto.’ He puts his head on my shoulder and lets out a contented
sigh. In about a half hour they leave to get some rest before
they head out in the morning. ‘I hate to do this to you Sweetheart…but
I know that you need your sleep, and that I’ve still got work
to do in the early morning, so I think you should go to sleep
in your room, remember you start the last leg of this part of
the tour. He looks sad for a few, then he nods, ‘I know your
right, I’ll do it, but I’ll be lonely.’ ‘So will I Love, so
will I but I have to think about you guys. Howie nods and gives
me one last kiss, and I give him a last hug before he leaves.
Corbin, Tim, and I talk for a little while longer, then we all
started to yawn, ‘Guys go ahead and crash here, I’ll use my
bedroom. “C” wake us up when Randy has the buss’ ready to go
back.’ ‘Will do.’ ‘Night guys.’ I say as I head to my bedroom.
“C” starts to turn down the lights when I’m in bed. I’m out
in about 5 min.s
<5”00 AM>
‘Guys, it’s time to get up. Randy has the
N sync buss’ done, you can return them any time.’ “C” says as
he brings the light up to normal. ‘Huh…oh, ok. Please make sure
that the drivers are ready to go “C”. We’ll be there in a few.’
‘Ok Bob.’ I get up and go to the bathroom and wash up quick
then head to the living room. I find them holding their pillows
over their heads. ‘Get up guys…that ain’t gonna work.’ they
both flip me off, so I kinetically pick them up, turn them over
so the blankets and pillows fall off, and start to move them
toward the bathroom. ‘Bob, what are you doing?’ Corbin asks
as he opens his eyes. He looks at me and sees an evil grin on
my face. ‘No not that…I’ll be good.’ ‘What’s he going to do?’
Tim asks as he looks between Corbin and me. ‘COLD SHOWER.’ Corbin
replies. ‘You wouldn’t, would you?’ “Yes he would. He did it
to Justin.’ Corbin says. ‘Ok, I’ll behave .’ Tim says. ‘Go wash
up, and we’re gone.’ I say as I put them down. I get a cup of
coffee, put my duster on, and wait for the slowpokes. I pull
out a tracking ring for Tim when he’s done washing. I give it
to him and explain what it’s for and he puts it on. When Corbin
walks in, ‘You ready?’ They both nod and I teleport us to the
maintenance area.
<Maintenance area>
When we ‘pop’ in, I look for the drivers
as the buss’ start up, Randy gives me a thumbs up. ‘Tim, get
on board, we’re ready. Corbin, I’ll be in touch in a sec.’ he
nods as I teleport out.
<N syncs’ hotel>
I teleport in and take a quick look around,
then, ‘Corbin, you ready?’ ‘Yeah, opening now.’ we open
our portals and the buss’ drive through. We close our portals.
‘Shut um down. Stay here for a sec. I’ll be right back.’
I ‘pop’ to the transport control room, grab a masker for Tim
then ‘pop’ back. ‘Tim, here’s a masker for you.’ I show him
how to operate it , and show him where the chargers are. ‘Kay
guys we’ll go back now.’ And I teleport us back to the complex.
<Maintenance area>
I go check in with Randy, and he thinks it’ll
be about an hour till they’re done. I tell Corbin and the drivers
how long it’ll be, then I head to the break room, get a cup
of coffee, and pull out a deck of cards and start to play a
game of solitaire. The rest of the guys come in and grab a seat
and relax. After 5 hands (I lost them all) “C” requests my presents
to help with the final testing. I go and help out. It only takes
around 5 min.s and we’re ready to take the last ones back. Randy
goes to get the guys and I teleport to BSBs’ hotel
<BSBs’ hotel>
I check around and find it’s safe to bring
the buss’ back. ‘Bob, you ready?’ Corbin sends. ‘Do
it.’ We open our portals and the buss’ drive through. When
the drivers are done shutting them down, we teleport back to
the complex.
<Maintenance area>
When we port in, I thank all the people that
helped get everything done and that the bands are grateful as
well, then I get ready to head to my room to grab a short nap.
‘What you going to do now?’ Corbin asks. “Going to grab a short
nap before the meeting at noon, then relax before I go after
98 Degrees.’ ‘Can I join you? I’d like to go to the concert.’
he says. ‘Sure, go get some sleep, I’ll wake you up early enuff
so we can get something to eat before we leave. And we’ll go
in R&R clothing.’ ‘All black?’ ‘Yeah, now go and relax.
We have an early concert.’ ‘Later.’ He says as he heads out.
I ‘pop’ to my room.
<My room>
I ‘pop’ into my bedroom, strip down, take
a shower, and lay down. ‘ “C” lights off, wakeup call for 11:30
please.’ ‘Sure thing Bob. Night.’ “C” says as the lights start
to dim. It takes a very little while to unwind before I can
go to sleep.
<8:00>
I wake up to one of the most enjoyable feelings
I could think of. It takes a few seconds to figure out what’s
going on, what can I say, I’m still tired and my mind isn’t
working yet. All of a sudden I figure out what’s happening,
I’m getting a wonderful blow job. I open my eyes and look down
into the most beautiful eyes in the world, ‘Hey sexy, you hungry?’
‘Yeah, and I found the most wonderful thing for breakfast.’
he replies before he goes back down on me. I reach over and

so we figured out that if we leave in about 30 min.s, we’ll
make it just in time for breakfast, now a quick shower and then
I’ll head out.’ We go and shower, Howie starts to play around
a couple of times, and I remind him that we don’t have time
this morning. He pouts but doesn’t put up much of a fight. When
we’re done we have a very passionate kiss, then he heads out
and I lay back down for a short nap before the meeting.
<11:30>
I get up, shave and brush my teeth, then
get dressed. I go into my office, grab a cup of coffee, sit
down and grab out the paperwork for the meeting.
At exactly 12:00, ‘Bob, you ready?’ Stacy
sends. ‘Just got the paper work out. You in the Conference
room?’ ‘Yeah, we’re waiting on you.’ he sends and I can
detect a snicker in his mental voice. ‘I’ll be there in a
second’ I reply as I head out the door.
<Conference room>
As I walk in everyone stands up at attention
and Stacy salutes. I return it, ‘Sit down you smart ass’s. Let’s
get this done.’ I notice that Zack’s there also, ‘Zack, you
going to do the coordinating for this?’ ‘Yeah. If you want me
to.’ he replies. ‘Couldn’t think of a better person to do it.
I was just checking to see if Stacy was doing his job.’ I say
with a smile. We double check that we know who’s doing what,
them make sure we have the times right. When that’s all taken
care of, I go over to Zack, ‘Remember, I’ll be the first one
back, so if you do happen to need help, I’ll be around.’ ‘I
shouldn’t, but I’ll let you know if I do.’ ‘I don’t think you
will either, but just want you to know you have backup if you
need it.’ then to the room, ‘Be careful, and don’t scare them
to much.’ I say as I leave the room.
<My office>
I grab a cup of coffee, and sit down. It’s
1:20 and I don’t have to leave till 4:45, so I kick back and
relax till 3:15, then I have “C” wake up Corbin and ask him
meet me in the dining room when he gets ready.
<Dining area>
I get something to eat, grab a small table
for Corbin and myself, and start to eat. He shows up about a
half hour later and comes over and sits down. We talk about
how I’m planning on doing things tonight. When we’re done we
take our trays to the kitchen and head to the transport control
room after a quick stop in my room for my masker.
<Transport area>
We walk in and I go over and open the safe.
I pull out the briefcase with all the tickets and passes in,
then open it and get out the ones that we’ll need, then give
it to Zack so he can take care of it. I call Travis and make
sure he has the rooms ready for tonight. He says that he does,
but that he needs to talk to me tomorrow, he’s starting to run
out of space. I tell him to call when he has time and we’d get
together then. I give Corbin his masker, check the time and
we decide we might as well head out. We tell Zack “Good bye”
and go to the transport room.
We go in and make sure that we have some
money, the passes, tickets, and maskers. ‘Zack, we’re ready.
Beacon on standby, I might have Corbin bring us back.’ ‘WHAT?’
Corbin shrieks. ‘See you in a while.’ I say as I grab his shoulder
and ‘pop’ out.
<Alley>
We teleport in to an alley 2 blocks from
the venue. Corbin looks at me and says ‘What do you mean “I
might have Corbin bring us back.”?’ ‘You’ve proven you can do
it, all you need is confidence in your self. And I’m trying
to get you to see that.’ ‘But what happens if I goof up?’ ‘Will
you stop that! You can do it. Please believe that.’ I say looking
a little sad. ‘I’ll try.’ he says. ‘Ok enuff of this. Lets go.’
We head to the venue and get in our line and get in almost immediately.
<Venue>
Security escorts us to our seats and say
that some one will take us back stage after the concert. We
sit down and enjoy our selves. We talk about the differences
between BSB, N sync, and 98 Degrees. I get a slight feeling
of mutant powers when any of the guys get close to our area.
After the show a few security guards come over and get everyone
that has backstage passes and they lead the way.
<Backstage>
We get shown to the dressing room, one of
them knock, someone yells ‘Come in.’ and we get shown in. We
introduce ourselves along with the other fans while the members
of 98 Degrees do the same. When I shake hands with the guys
I’m sure I can feel that they have powers that are starting
to come out. We talk to the guys and the other fans for a while.
As the other fans are leaving I start to get a feeling that
I don’t like. I expand my senses and I’m sure that we’re going
to have unexpected company. ‘ “C” long range scan please.’
‘Sentinels in bound ETA. 30 min.s 4 of them.’ ‘Thanks “C”, let
Zack and the morphs know. I’ll try to hurry on this end.’ ‘Will
do Bob.’ I look around the room and it’s only Corbin, 98
Degrees and myself. ‘Bob, you ok? You were zoned out for a second.’
Corbin says. ‘I’ll be ok for about 25 min. then I’ll be in fighting
mode. Ok guys I don’t know if you’ve heard anything about BSB
and N sync or not.’ they nod. ‘We only heard that Sentinels
have been seen at their concerts.’ Drew says. ‘Well they’re
on the way here also. You have mutant powers that are just starting
to come out. I thought I could sense them while you were on
stage, but I confirmed it when we shook hands. I just got a
hold of “C”. and found out that there are sentinels on the way
here. I’ll give you the short version now…’
When I get done Nick looks at me, ‘Your joking?’
‘No I’m not…you want a small demo?’ ‘Why? What can you do?’
Justin asks. ‘More than you’d think.’ Corbin replies with a
snicker. ‘Are you a mutant too?’ Jeff asks. Corbin nods. I concentrate
on what I want to do and get the demo figured out. I flip my
right thumb like I’m lighting a lighter and a small flame appears,
‘Any one here need a light?’ then I more my fingers apart on
my left hand and sparks dance between them, ‘Anyone need their
laptop’s battery charged?’ I blow out the flame on my right
thumb, then bring both hands together, then pull them apart
again with the sparks going between them, ‘Or do you need to
jump start one of your buss’?’ I close my hands and the sparks
quit, ‘Or do you want to look at the walls?’ I say as I kinetically
turn them around, ‘Well is that enuff of a demo?’ I mentally
ask as they turn around with shocked looks on their faces. I
look at Corbin and he’s smiling. I look back at the guys and
arch my eyebrow. ‘Yeah that’s enuff for me. How about you guys
?’ Drew asks his band mates. They just nod. ‘Ok we’ve got about
10 min. till the sentinels get here. Do you want to get some
things to take with you to the complex?’ they look at each other
and go over to pack a few items. ‘How much do we need?’ Justin
asks. ‘Enuff for a couple of days. Then you can pick up more
later.’ he nods and puts in some more cloths in his bag. ‘
“C” have the morphs come over, we’re almost ready.’ ‘There in
a few.’ he replies. As I look on I see one of the walls
start to blur and Lee and the morphs walk out. ‘Hi guys, pick
a victim and morph.’ ‘Who are you talking to and what do you
mean by a “victim”.’ Jeff asks. ‘Turn around and watch.’ as
they do the morphs do their thing and copy 98 Degrees. ‘What
the…’ Justin says, ‘This is so no one knows that your gone.’
“Justin” answers back in perfect imitation of Justin’s voice.
’Guys put on a ring please, we gotta go. They should be here
any second.’ As I say this there is a loud whoosh as the sentinels
fly over head. I give the guys each a ring and they put them
on. ‘We’re outta here, Guys be careful, see you later.’ I say
to the morphs. ’ Lee, Corbin, you want?’ ‘Nah, go ahead Bob.’
Lee replies as Corbin shakes his head. I open a portal below
us and down we go. ‘ “C” beacon on.’ ‘Ready.’ I go over,
check the call sign, and up we go.
<Transport room>
I close the portal and say, ‘Please state
your names for voiceprint identification.’
‘Nick Lachey.’
‘Confirmed.’
‘Drew Lachey.’
‘Confirmed.’
‘Justin Jeffre.’
‘Confirmed.’
‘Jeff Timmons.’
‘Confirmed.’
‘Welcome aboard 98 Degrees, enjoy your stay.’
“C” says. ‘Guys that’s “C” our main computer. Zack is everyone
else gone?’ ‘Yeah, just before Lee and the morphs left.’ ‘Good.
“C” Travis please.’ ‘On line.’ ‘Trav, what rooms do 98 Degrees
get?’ ‘315 and 316, connecting rooms.’ ‘Thanks Travis. “C” Pat
Please.’ ‘Ready.’ ‘Pat, we’re back, you ready?’ ‘Yeah, whenever
you are.’ ‘We’re on the way. See you in a few. Lee, I’ll see
you later. Corbin, do you want to come along?’ ‘Yeah I guess.’
he replies. ‘I’ll get the next set of morphs ready.’ Lee says
as he turns to look at me. ‘I’ll do all the portal work tonight
and Jesse will do it tomorrow night.’ ‘Sounds good to me, later.’
I say as I lead the way. Corbin drops off his masker and catches
up as we leave the transport area.
<Complex>
‘This is bigger than it sounded.’ Nick says.
‘Yeah, I just had time to give you the short version of the
speech since the sentinels were on the way.’ we talk the rest
of the way to the R&R section.
<R&R section>
I show them where my room is, them take them
to their rooms. ‘Just drop your stuff off so I can get you tested.
Then you can unpack later.’ They do and we head to the danger
room.
<D.R.#1>
I show them the key pad and give them the
R&R code. I open the doors and we walk in. ‘Wake up Pat.
We’re here.’ I say with a smile. ‘I’m awake, Jerk. Ready when
you are. Here are some chairs.’ ‘Thanks Pat. Guys would you
mind if I also teach Corbin how I do this?’ they shake their
heads. ‘Corbin…do you want to join me so you can learn how to
do this?’ ‘Yeah I guess I should, you seam to think I need to.’
he replies. ‘ “C” let it be known that I’m “Testing the beast.”.’
‘Confirmed.’ I link with Corbin and then I reach out and check
to make sure that I did sense that they do have powers. They
do, so I have “C” announce that I’m “Releasing the beast.”
‘Ok Justin, age before beauty.’ <grin>
‘Hey.’ I reach out and we enter his mind. I show Corbin what
to look for, then finish taking down the barrier around his
power. He has the power to paralyze or kill, like a spider,
with a touch. I let the knowledge flow into his mind. ‘Well
J, do you know what you can do?’ ‘Yeah I do.’ ‘Good, we’re
out.’ and we back out of his mind.
‘Your next Jeff.’ he gets up as Justin goes
and sits down. I expand my mind and meld with him. I look for
his barrier and get rid of it. He has bio-electrical power.
‘Jeff, do you sense what you can do?’ ‘Yes I do.’ ‘Ok Sparky,
I’m gone.’ as I leave his mind, ‘Sparky…don’t think I like
that nickname too well.’ ‘I’ll just have to come up with a better
one then.’ <evil grin> ‘And if I know him…he will .’ Corbin
and with a smile.
‘Nick…your up.’ He trades places with Jeff.
I let my mind reach out and I find his power and finish releasing
it. He has magnetism as his power. ‘You under stand your
power Nick?’ ‘Yeah, I’ve got a magnetic personality.’ ‘Yeah…right,
ha ha ha. If you say so. I’m leaving now. I may be ill if I
stay in here with your ego.’
I look at Drew, ‘Your turn youngster.’ when
the brothers switch places I go into his mind and get rid of
his blocks and find out that he also has magnetism as his power.
‘So Sprout, you got it figured out?’ ‘I think so.’ ‘Good,
I’ll see you back on the outside.’
‘Corbin, did you follow all that?’ ‘Yeah
I did, I hope I’ve got it.’ ‘Well you can always do it again.
After all we’re going to have more people to do in the next
week or so. I’m going to dissolve the link now.’
When I done, ‘Ok to let everyone know, Justin
has a paralyzing touch, Jeff is a bio-electric, and both Nick
and Drew have magnetic powers. Now for an experiment, Pat I
need something made of steel please.’ ‘What you want?’ ‘An I-beam,
a robot, what ever, just so it’s magnetic.’ In a few, a robot
comes out of a door and walks towards us. When it’s about 50
foot away, ‘That’s good Pat. Ok Nick, grab Drew.’ ‘Huh?’ ‘Try
to grab Drew, I want to check out something.’ Nick still looks
confused but tries to touch Drew’s shoulder, but his hand stops
about a foot from his brothers shoulder. ‘What the…’ Nick start
to say. ‘Looks like you’re the same polarity. I had a feeling,
but needed to find out. Now one at a time try to pull the robot
towards us.’ Nick tries first and moves it about a foot. Drew
tries next and also moves it around a foot. ‘Not to bad for
a first try. I’ve got an idea…but you may not like it. I may
be able to reverse one of your polarities and then you could
combine them for greater power. But you have to decide if you
want to take the chance. Talk about it for a few and let me
know. Pat, you got some coffee up there? I could use a cup.’
‘Since I knew that you were going to be here, I made a pot.’
‘Thanks Guy, you just saved my life.’ I say as I fly to the
control room.
I get a cup and sit down for a few. About
10 min. later, ‘Bob, we’ve decided to let you do it.’ Nick calls.
I head back down to the floor. ‘ “C” I need a medic to the danger
room please.’ ‘On the way.’ ‘Thanks “C”. Ok guys do you care
who I do it to?’ they shake their heads, ‘No but who do you
think would be better?’ Drew asks. ‘Well I’d think that you
would be, your younger, and I think it’d be easier on you.’
‘Ok, what do I need to do?’ Drew asks. ‘Stand up and I’ll port
us away from here. Come on Drew, stand up.’ I say with a smile.
‘I am you jerk.’ ‘I guess you are. I didn’t realize you were
that short.’ Just then Julie walks in. I explain to her what
I’m going to do, then I teleport the 3 of us to the other side
of the room. ‘I just want to make sure that your totally ok
with what I’m going to do.’ ‘Yeah I am.’ ‘Ok here we go.’ I
get my lightening powers ready and let loose with a bolt. He
drops to his knees and shakes his head. ‘Julie check him out,
please.’ she goes over and finds out that he’s ok. I help him
up and transport us back to the rest of the guys. ‘Ok Drew,
now try to touch Nick.’ he reaches over and grabs his brothers
arm. ‘Ok now try to combine your powers and try to move the
robot.’ They reach out and move it about 5 foot, ‘Well that’s
a 500% increase in power, do you think it was worth it?’ ‘Yeah
I do .’ Drew says. ‘Glad to hear it. Thanks a lot Julie. Pat,
take off, I’ll take over for you.’ ‘What are you talking about?
You need to get some sleep. I know what you did yesterday and
this morning.’ ‘So? I can handle it. You need to get some rest
also. And I’m basically off tomorrow, unless something comes
up.’ ‘Well, ok. But at least get something to eat after your
done.’ ‘I’ll see what I feel like when I’m done. And guys stop
by my room around 11:00 in the morning and I’ll have your trainers
and protection teams there so you can get to know each other.’
‘You’d better get something to eat or I put you in the infirmary
myself.’ Julie says. ‘Yeah right.’ I say as Pat comes down.
‘Guys I’m going to the rec. room, do you want to join me or
head to your rooms?’ ‘Can we get something to eat?’ Drew asks.
‘Yeah you can.’ Pat answers. ‘Food! Lead the way.’ the guys
say in unison. ‘Follow me.’ Pat says with a smile as he takes
the lead. Julie looks at me for a second, shakes her head, and
leaves.
While I wait, I get the trainer message board
up and start to post what kind we need for 98 Degrees, and a
second one for the protection teams. In about a half hour the
doors open.
Todd and Terry show up with Christina Aguilera.
‘Pat you ready?’ Todd calls out. ‘He isn’t here, I am.’ They
look up, ‘What you doing here?’ Terry asks. ‘I sent Pat to relax.
So you ready?’ ‘Yeah I am. Are you Christina?’ Todd asks. ‘I’m
as ready as I’ll ever be.’ she replies. ‘ “C” I’m going to check
her out.’ Todd says before he looks her in the eyes for a second,
‘Ok I’m going to release her powers now.’ In a min. he looks
up. ‘Bob, she’s a telepath. Could be a strong one at that’ ‘Thanks
Todd, I’ll put the word out. I’m going to have a meeting at
11:00 tomorrow. Please show her where the conference room is.’
‘Will do. You going to the rec. room after your done?’ ‘I think
I could use something to eat.’ ‘K, see you in a while. This
way.’ Terry says as they leave. I get the new notices posted
and wait.
In about 45 min. Lesa and Carol come in with
O-town. ‘Pat, Shawn, we’re here.’ ‘Well they aren’t, but I am.
You have to put up with me. I told Pat to take off and relax.’
’Oh just what I needed, a pain looking over my shoulder.’ Carol
says with a smile. ‘You look like you need time off also. I
think your running on adrenaline again, that ain’t good.’ Lesa
says. ‘I’m going to get something to eat after we’re done, then
I’m going to crash.’ ‘Ok, I’ll get this done so you can take
off and relax.’ Carol replies. She tells “C” that she’s ready
to check the guys. She looks at all of them, then she tells
“C” that she’s going to release their powers. When she’s done
she calls at me. ‘Bob, Ashley has density control, Trevor has
super agility, Jacob is an empath, Dan has ice control, and
Eric-Michael has fire control.’ I tell them about the meeting
in the morning, and tell them to head out, and that I’d catch
them at the rec. room after I close the Danger room down and
get the last types of trainers posted along with the meeting
time and place.

I go in and order something to eat and drink.
I go over to where the R&R teams are and talk for a while
to them and the people that were brought in today. When I’m
done eating I head out.
<My room>
When I get in to my office my phone starts
to ring. I check the caller ID, it’s Howie. We talk for about
half an hour, then he starts to yawn so I make him go to bed
so he will get enuff sleep. I know that he wishes that I’d not
be such a pain, but I have to think about the rest of the guys
and their fans. I don’t want management to be pissed at him
because they don’t do a good job. After we hang up I double
check the message boards, strip down and go to bed. I’m out
in about 5 mins.
